Erasmus +
Welcoming week
National University of Music Bucharest is looking forward to welcoming its newcomers, national and international, during the 1st week of October.
The opening of the academic year is a big event that gathers all the departments, professors, students and administrative staff around music & education. A warm welcome from the rectors, vice-rectors and deans, artistic moments, as well as guidance for the administrative steps are provided.
Moreover, a tour of the campus, as well as orientation guidance for the main facilities is provided. Students are permanently counseled on the bureaucratical aspects (students’ contracts, access card for practicing rooms, library cards, as well as transport facilities).
For the ERASMUS + students, English buddies are available – students who make the integration process within the academic community as seamless as possible. Meetings in the cafeteria, during classes, strolls around the city, even parties – are just a few of their common activities.
All incoming students are strongly encouraged to ask questions and stay in touch with the ERASMUS + office representatives.
Student Mobilities
National University of Music Bucharest is offering a new opportunity to its students, inside the frame of the ERASMUS + Program – Short – term Mobility for Studies or Placement/Traineeship.
This type of mobility allows the students enrolled in all three study cycles (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral studies) to benefit of a physical mobility of minimum 5 maximum 30 days to a partner university/conservatoire or other institution (Orchestras/Choirs, Research institutes, organizations, foundations, libraries, etc.), obtaining 3 ECTS.
Short-term mobility can be accessed as follows:
- by Doctoral students – 5 to 30 days of physical mobility to a partner university/conservatoire or to another institution. The virtual component is recommended, not mandatory.
- By the students enrolled at the Bachelor and Master studies:

Most of this type of mobility is made during the Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs)
What are those BIPs?
Programs conceived and promoted by higher education institutions (independently or as a part of an alliance) from at least three Program countries, organized around a diversity of themes.
A BIP includes both a physical and a mandatory online component (its duration is not mentioned).
As a partner of the IN.TUNE Alliance – Innovative Universities in Music and Arts in Europe – https://intune-alliance.eu/, National University of Music Bucharest will coordinate and be involved in different BIPs during the upcoming years.
