Over the course of the two-year Master’s Degree, students will be given guidance in the science of major musical forms, with the M.A project consisting in a large-scale work in either the vocal-instrumental (cantata, oratorio, symphony) or choreographic (ballet) genre.

At the same time, students will have the opportunity to take part in joint composition projects, conferences and masterclasses held by major figures in world composing, and other periodic projects realised by the U.N.M.B. in partnership with the Union of Romanian Composers and Musicologists, the George Enescu National Museum, the George Enescu Bucharest Philharmonic, the Goethe Institute, the New Europe College, and other European cultural institutions, which will shape their music and stylistic choices.

The intellectual, aesthetic, and technical achievements of Compositional Style and Language students can be measured by the large number of awards and commissions that the graduates of the M.A. programme have received over the years.
