Study Rooms

The National University of Music Bucharest has the facilities to meet all the specific requirements of teaching music students at the higher educational level. Within the precincts of the UNMB there are ninety-two rooms that allow individual study. Outside the hours when courses are scheduled in the rooms in question (as listed at the door of each room), access for individual study is provided in accordance with the Regulations for the Use of Study Rooms passed by the university senate. With the support of and at the suggestion of student representatives on the boards of the two faculties and in the university senate, the regulations are a framework that is continuously adapted to meet current situations and needs.

There are also eleven study rooms in the UNMB Student Hall of Residence. Prior to examination sessions and/or internal musical events, provision is made for students to have study sessions in with the concert rooms and familiarise themselves with them. In such cases, access is based on a request made to the Artistic Secretariat (artistic@unmb.ro), which then receives approval from the teacher of the discipline in question. Most of the study rooms have a grand piano or upright piano. The upkeep of these instruments and the rooms in which they are housed represents a joint effort on the part of the whole academic community and, in terms of quality, is directly proportional to the care taken by each and every one of us.
