Modernizing European Higher Music Education through Improvisation

National University of Music Bucharest has become partner of the Project Modernizing European Higher Music Education through Improvisation, coordinated by the  Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and developed under the frame of the ERASMUS + KA2 Program. The duration of the strategic partnership is three years (2015 – 2018) and it gathers – in a reliable cooperation – the following institutions: TAIDEYLIOPISTO (Finland), National University of Music Bucharest (Romania), Norges musikkhøgskole (Norway), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (France), GOETEBORGS UNIVERSITET (Sweden), Hogeschool der Kunsten Den Haag (Netherland), Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig (Germany), Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Great Britain), LIETUVOS MUZIKOS IR TEATRO AKADEMIJA (Lithuania), The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Great Britain), FUNDACIO PRIVADA PER A L’ESCOLA SUPERIOR DE MUSICA DE CATALUNYA (Spain), Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium), Association Europeenne des Conservatoires, Academies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (Belgium). The aim of the project is to improve the employment opportunities for future music graduates through the pedagogical, entrepreneurial and artistic development of higher music education studies in the area of improvisation as a response to the quickly changing employment situation in the profession of music.
